LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED
Human beings have an inner drive to worry when things don’t go the way they want them to go. In fact it seems almost second nature to worry and easier to do rather than to pray and trust God through it all. But Jesus said in John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. So why then should be go around worried down to the ground, so broken in pieces, so out of it. He never promised us the way would be easy or the cross would not be heavy to bear. He simply said to take up your cross and follow me.
As we reflect on Job and all that he went through, we must conclude that Job only made it because he refused to let go of his faith in God. Yes Job often complained about his troubles, but he never let go of his faith in God. In the book of Job 13:15 it says, Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him, and again in Job 19:26 Job says, And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God. — What great faith, what strength of character. Job lived what he believed in. Job proved to all that he was a man of deep conviction and strong integrity. Job refused to allow his heart to become overwhelmed as a result of circumstances. Job never dashed away his faith in God to deliver him.
What about you? Is your heart so troubled today that you can no longer pray?
Are you so angry with God that you’ve given up all hope? I beg you not to give up. There is help in prayer. I can honestly say it has worked for me and so many others that I know. Satan is a liar and right now he may be telling you to take matters into your own hands and solve your problems your way. Don’t believe it. Satan wants to destroy you, but instead trust in God and if you feel hopeless or nearing that point, please don’t go there. We will pray for you at your request.
Be blessed always.
